Member of Parliament M. Dzurinda visits Viena International

In the wake of Žilina self-governing region chairman Juraj Blanár, who made a working visit to Martin-based engineering firm Viena International in November 2008, the company today welcomed Member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic Mikuláš Dzurinda. The appearance occurred as part of a day-long working visit to the city of Martin.

In addition to reviewing manufacturing at the business, the MP also met with Viena International management, including Austrian shareholder Karl Rejlek. During the discussion he took interest in the experiences of the foreign investor operating a business in Slovakia, appraisal of the transition to the euro, the business climate in the Slovak Republic as well as methods of buffering the company against the impact of the deepening economic crisis.

Viena International representatives familiarised their guest with the company’s vision and its operations to date in Slovakia. They also stated that they perceive the current crisis as both a challenge and an opportunity for the company to optimise its manufacturing processes, to maintain employment after implementation of unavoidable measures and to make Viena International ready for further success in the marketplace.
